Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This website is an advertisement that helps people find clinical research studies enrolling in their area. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain language.
The short version
- We do not ask for your name, address, phone number, email, Social Security number, insurance details or medical records on this website.
- We do collect your date of birth, sex at birth and ZIP code, so we can tell you which studies are enrolling near you.
- Our advertising partners receive technical information — including your IP address — so we can measure which ads work. This is standard online advertising, and you can opt out.
- When you click through to a study, you leave this site. What happens next is governed by that organisation's privacy policy, not ours.
Who we are
This website is operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] ("we", "us"), [STREET ADDRESS, CITY, STATE ZIP]. We are an advertiser and referral service. We are not a healthcare provider, a clinical research site, or a study sponsor, and we do not provide medical care or medical advice.
Information you give us
The three questions on this site collect:
- Date of birth — converted immediately into your age in years, which is what the eligibility rules actually use.
- Sex at birth — because some studies enrol only men or only women.
- ZIP code — to find studies with sites near you.
We do not ask you to confirm a diagnosis on this site, and you should not send us medical information. Please do not include health details in any email you send us.
Information collected automatically
- IP address and general location inferred from it
- Browser and device information (user agent, screen size, operating system)
- Referring URL and advertising identifiers, such as the click ID attached by the advertising platform that sent you here
- Timestamps and which pages or buttons you interacted with
Cookies and similar technologies
- Strictly necessary cookies. A session cookie keeps your answers together while you use the site. It expires when you close your browser and cannot be read by JavaScript.
- Advertising and measurement cookies. Our advertising partners and click-tracking provider set identifiers so that a click on an ad can be matched to a visit here. These are used for attribution and campaign measurement.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookie may stop the site working correctly. Blocking advertising cookies will not affect your ability to see or apply to studies.
Health-related information
Because this site advertises studies for specific medical conditions, the fact that you visited a page about a particular condition — combined with your age, sex and ZIP code — may be treated as consumer health data under laws including the Washington My Health My Data Act and Nevada SB 370.
We collect this information only to show you studies you may qualify for, and to measure the performance of our advertising. We do not sell this information. By answering the questions and continuing to a study, you consent to the collection and sharing described in this policy. You may withdraw that consent at any time by emailing [email protected].
How we use information
- To determine which studies you may be eligible for and display them to you
- To measure how our advertising performs, so we stop paying for ads that do not work
- To detect fraud, bot traffic and abuse of the site
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal effects about you.
Who we share information with
- Advertising platforms (for example Meta). We send event information such as your IP address, user agent and the platform's own click identifier so that ad performance can be measured. We do not send your name, because we never collect it.
- Our click-tracking provider, which records which ad and placement brought you here.
- Study sponsors, research sites and patient-recruitment companies — but only when you choose to click through to a study. At that point you leave this website.
- Service providers such as our web host, acting on our instructions.
- Legal and safety — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.
- Business transfers — if the business is sold or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some state privacy laws define "sale" or "sharing" broadly enough to include advertising measurement of the kind described above. You can opt out using the contact details below.
Third-party sites
Study links open in a new tab and take you to a website we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own, and we are not responsible for them. Read their policy before providing personal or medical information.
How long we keep information
- Your answers live in a temporary session that ends when you close your browser.
- We keep a short aggregate log — ZIP code, age, sex, and which studies matched — for a limited period (currently a few weeks) so we can see which areas we lack coverage in. It contains no name, email or phone number.
- Records held by our advertising and tracking partners are retained according to their own policies.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Washington and Nevada — you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and request a copy
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and of targeted advertising
- Withdraw consent to the processing of consumer health data
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
To exercise any of these, email [email protected] with enough detail for us to locate your records — the approximate date and time of your visit, your ZIP code, and the study you were looking at. Because we deliberately do not collect identifying information, we may be unable to locate a record for you, and we will tell you if that is the case. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
If you are in the EU or UK, note that this site is directed to residents of the United States and is not intended for use elsewhere.
Children
This site is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited information we hold, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Do Not Track
Our site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because no common standard for them has been adopted. We do honour opt-out requests sent to the email address above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will change, and any material change will be posted here. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
