3. Pre-screening is not enrolment

The questions on this site apply a small number of basic criteria — age, sex at birth and location. They are a first filter, nothing more.

• Being shown a study does not mean you qualify for it. Every study has detailed medical criteria that only its research staff can assess.
• Being shown no studies does not mean none exist. Our listings change frequently.
• We do not guarantee that any study will accept you, that a study will still be enrolling when you apply, that a study site is near you, or that you will receive any payment.
• Study details, compensation and criteria are supplied by the organisations running them. We do not independently verify them.

4. Advertising and compensation disclosure

We are compensated by study sponsors, patient-recruitment companies and other advertisers when visitors are referred to them. This means we have a financial interest in you clicking through. The order in which studies appear is set by us and may reflect commercial arrangements as well as relevance. It is not a clinical ranking, a recommendation, or an indication of quality or safety.

5. Third-party websites

Study links open a website operated by someone else. We do not control those sites, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, privacy practices, or how they handle information you give them. Review their terms and privacy policy before providing any personal or medical information.

6. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information about yourself, and not to:

• Submit false information or impersonate another person
• Use bots, scrapers or automated tools to access the site or harvest its content
• Interfere with or attempt to breach the security of the site
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or to gain a commercial advantage over us
• Copy, reproduce or republish site content without our written permission
